At the Public Policy Projects’ Infrastructure Hub events at the party conferences, the Chancellor and Ministers showed their commitment to deliver the infrastructure necessary to level-up communities across Britain. The economy faces unprecedented challenges caused by the pandemic, and the Government has committed to the delivery of major infrastructure projects including the upgrade of UK motorways, HS2, improvements to rail, building a green recovery and leading the world on wind power.  All these major infrastructure projects require deeper thinking from a delivery perspective.  As a nation, there is a need to think about retention of learnings and skills to ensure that major infrastructure becomes an integral to UK economic growth in a post-Brexit world. Chaired by Co-Chair of Public Policy Projects Infrastructure Board, Stephen Hammond MP, this discussion is a prime opportunity to discuss ways of delivering on the Government’s manifesto commitments with one of the leading minds in UK infrastructure, Chief Executive of the Infrastructure Projects Authority (IPA), Nick Smallwood.
