Innovation in the Food Supply Chain: Unlocking AgriTech for Net Zero | Report launch webinar
Description
This webinar report launch on innovation in the food supply chain took place on 1st December 2022. To be notified of future events please register here.
The Government food strategy targets improvements to the sustainability, security and nutritiousness of the UK’s food system. However, while the strategy also states that new technologies will be instrumental to the delivery of these targets, it provides minimal guidance for how the innovation and implementation processes for AgriTech can be improved.
The Innovation in the Food Supply Chain report provides guidance for the fulfilment of the AgriTech commitments outlined in the government’s Food Strategy, and the recent precision breeding bill. Offering actionable recommendations to streamline the innovation pathway for pre-farmgate AgriTech applications – and improve the sustainability, security and nutrition of the UK’s food system – this report offers a clear vision for how supply chains can be empowered to take up new technologies and deliver net zero.
On December 1st from 2pm GMT, PPP will launch the report at an online event. Hosting the various organisations who have supported the development of the report, as well as a number of representatives of other bodies within the sector, the launch will serve as an opportunity to delve into the report’s recommendations and discuss nest steps.
