Public Policy Projects are delighted to invite you to our virtual breakfast webinar, ‘The Challenge of Restarting Education’ on Tuesday, 19th January (8.00am-9.00am)Chair Rt Hon Stephen Dorrell will be joined by Neil Carmichael, former Chair of Education Select Committee and Desmond Deehan, Chief Executive Officer/Executive Headteacher, King Henry School to discuss  the public health implications of children not returning to school, the long-term impacts of the disruption caused by the pandemic and the immediate policy steps that must be taken to ease the concerns of parents, teachers and pupils.

Key Points of Discussion: 

  • What are the longer term changes that need to be made to ensure better resilience in the education sector to crises?
  • How can teachers, parents and public services best support pupils through this crisis?
  • Has the pandemic highlighted the need to firmly address educational inequalities in Britain?
