About the webinar: Financing social care

Reforming social care – particularly with regards to financing it – has been a major challenge for successive governments over the past decades. Although many have acknowledged the need to reform the system, it remains in flux. Prime Minister Boris Johnson pledged in his maiden speech that he was going to “fix social care”. Ahead of the Chancellor’s Budget on the 23rd March, PPP will launch its interim report on financing social care to influence the debate. This interim report has been produced following several strategic consultations with our Social Care Policy Network, which is comprised of senior stakeholders within the social care sector.

In this webinar, PPP’s report Chair the Rt Hon Damian Green will introduce the interim report alongside network members to discuss what the government should do ahead of the Budget to tackle the social care funding crisis.
