Dame Clare Gerrada
Dame Clare Gerrada is a GP and Medical Director of NHS Practioner Health. She has held a number of national roles including being Senior Policy Advisor to the Department of Health, Drugs and Alcohol and Chair of the Royal College of General Practioners, the first female chair in over fifty years. In 2019 she was appointed as co-chair of the team behind the NHS’ long-term strategy. Her round-breaking work in addiction and substance misuse over the course of her career led to her being awarded the DBE in 2020. She is the first Maltese woman to receive this honour.
